Running Records

I am amazed. Today I did a modified assessment. I just gave students a quick running record which is an assessment of their oral reading. I must say I am pleasantly surprised. Most students are pretty good readers. This tells me that they are much more capable than most second graders. Keep reading with them, they are doing so well.
